Bandits blocked Kaduna-Abuja road, kidnapped scores of persons, Shehu Sani alleges

Senator Shehu Sani
Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna State lawmaker, alleged that heavily armed bandits blocked the Kaduna-Abuja road on Sunday and abducted dozens of people travelling to their various destinations.

In a series of tweets on Sunday night, the former senator who made the assertion urged northern governors to prioritize the situation of insecurity in the area and also called for the reactivation of “Operation Puff Adder” to protect people.

His post on Twitter reads:

“Today, the Bandits along Kaduna Abuja audaciously blocked the road in broad daylight and kidnapped scores of people, including a young man I know. Operation Puff Adder needs reactivation.

“This is where the attention of the Northern Governors is needed,” Shehu Sani concluded.

This came days after the legislator reprimanded the Northern Governors for calling for social media censorship.

The Northerners live in terror because of banditry, according to Sani, but their governors are more worried about social media.
